King’s College London Centre of Construction Law and the UK Association of Consultant Architects have concluded our sixth licence for the translation and adaptation of the FAC-1 Framework Alliance Contract, this time a Spanish version intended for use in Peru, Chile and Colombia.

The team in Peru is led by Eric Franco, an alumnus of the King’s MSc in Construction Law who is an in-house lawyer at ENGIE, and he will be working in consultation with another of our Peruvian MSc alumni Katherine Waidhofer, with Universidad Peruana de Ciencias Aplicada (Oscar Talavera, Director of Postgraduate Studies in Engineering), with Universidad del Pacífico (Fernando Cantuarias, Dean of the Law School) and with the Peruvian Society of Construction Law (Gustavo Paredes, President).

Eric Franco visited Prof. Gillian Douglas, Dean of the KCL Dickson Poon School of Law, on Monday 7th October, where the FAC-1 Peruvian licence was finalised with the the KCL Centre of Construction Law and with the Association of Consultant Architects. This licence follows previous FAC-1 adaptations and translations already created for use in Brazil, Bulgaria, Germany and Italy and the grant of a licence in May this year for its adaptation and translation for use in Russia.
